Albania's elderly are among the most overlooked. Many live alone, cut off from family, unable to navigate a system that was never designed for them. We show up — every week, every meal, every appointment.
Albania's rural depopulation and mass emigration have left behind a generation of elderly people who raised families, built communities, and now face their final years in isolation. Government pensions are often too small to cover basic needs, and social care infrastructure is thin.
Our Elderly Care program fills the gap — not through charity at arm's length, but through sustained, personal presence. Our volunteers don't just deliver food. They sit, listen, and make sure every person feels they matter.
Refer an Elderly PersonEach project addresses a distinct dimension of elderly wellbeing — together they ensure no need goes unmet.
A dedicated day center offering elderly individuals a safe, warm, and social environment — with daily activities, meals, pastoral support, and companionship.
Ensuring elderly Albanians have access to the medications and medical care they need, regardless of their financial situation.
Our process is designed to be fast and frictionless for elderly individuals and their families.
Anyone can refer an elderly person — family, neighbours, doctors, or the individual themselves. A phone call is all it takes.
A coordinator visits within one week to assess needs, living conditions, and the person's own wishes about the kind of support they want.
We match the person with a trained volunteer who lives nearby and fits their personality and language preferences.
Support continues as long as it's needed. We review the care plan every six months and adapt to changing needs.
€10 covers a week of hot meals. €50 funds a month of volunteer visits. Your contribution keeps an elderly person connected to life.
